BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University football team travels for its final regular season road matchup of the 2021 season, to Bowling Green, Kentucky, taking on WKU Saturday for a noon Eastern kickoff.
The Owls (5-5, 3-3 Conference USA) look to snap a two-game losing streak, and knock off WKU for the first time in over a month. The Hilltoppers (6-4, 5-1 C-USA) last lost to UTSA on Oct. 9, 52-46, and have five wins a row since to take control of the conference's East Division. With that 5-1 markup, WKU leads Marshall by one game, and the quartet of FAU, Charlotte, Middle Tennessee and Old Dominion by two, with two games to go.
Series History
FAU holds the series advantage at 9-3, with a 5-1 record at WKU. It will be the third time a Taggart-led team has faced the Hilltoppers, but the first time he has returned to Bowling Green to square off against his alma mater. The Owls won the 2020 tilt in Boca Raton 10-6. The Owls got on the board with a field goal a year ago and held WKU to two field goals, but needed a late drive, ending on an 11-yard touchdown run by Javion Posey, for the win.What's Next
