Duffy’s Fan Fest Set for Aug. 22 at Flagler Credit Union Stadium

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic Athletics will host the second annual Duffy's Sports Grill Fan Fest at Flagler Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 22. The free event begins at 5 p.m. and is headlined by a live concert outside the stadium and a drone show.
The Publix Paradise Plaza area outside Gates 1 and 2 opens at 5 p.m., and will include a concert from the Mixtape Kids, a 90s tribute band, on the Owls Pregame Live, concessions, games, inflatables for the kids provided by Flagler Credit Union, giveaways, activations from sponsors and autograph sessions with Owl student-athletes. The stadium gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Once inside the stadium, FAU's football student-athletes will be on the Hyundai Deck signing autographs. The program inside the stadium includes performances from the FAU Marching Band and cheer and dance, along with remarks from campus leaders, an appearance from the FAU Football Team and others. Concessions and merchandise sales will also be open both inside and outside the stadium. The night is capped by a spectacular lighted drone show just after sunset.
Incoming FAU freshmen, which comprise the largest freshmen class in school history, are required to attend as an orientation event. Freshmen will be seated on the east side of the stadium, with the Hyundai Deck and west side seating open to the public, FAU staff and other FAU students.
Fans attending should note that Lot 5 will not be open due to the staging of the drone show. Free parking will be available in Garage 3, and surface parking in Lot 4, Lot 6 and Lot 7 adjacent to Flagler Credit Union Stadium.
The Owls announced last month the creation of a pregame concert series, Owls Pregame Live, with live concerts occurring outside the stadium on football game days. The Mixtape Kids will headline the Aug. 22 concert, with Homegrown, a Zac Brown tribute band set for the home opener on Sept. 12 when FAU hosts Navy.
