BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University football looks to build off its last foray on the road, staying inside the Conference USA East division with a matchup Saturday at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia. The Owls are one win away from bowl eligibility, with three contests left to go.
While the Owls' 12-game home winning streak came to an end last week against Marshall, they now look to start a similar streak away from home. Last time on the road, the Owls romped over Charlotte, 38-9. The program has had success in Norfolk (more below), and will remain away from Boca Raton next week as well.
After an 0-3 start to their conference slate, ODU has won back-to-back matchups, over Louisiana Tech (23-20) and FIU (47-24). Those two wins snapped a five-game overall losing streak for the Monarchs, though three of those losses were seven points or less.

Series History
FAU holds the series advantage at 4-2. It will be the first meeting versus ODU with a Taggart-led team. The Owls have captured each of the three outings in Norfolk: The first in 2015, under Charlie Partridge (33-31), and the next two in 2017 and 2019, FAU was under the leadership of Lane Kiffin (58-28 and 41-3, respectively).Â
