BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team, still in the midst of more than a month of matches away from home, faces another ranked opponent Saturday, battling UCF in Orlando. The Knights are No. 33 by the ITA computerized rankings, and No. 21 in the Tennis Channel/USTA Top 25.
Owls' Week in Review
The Owls (5-9) had three matches in three days over a long last weekend, falling to Georgia State, No. 45 Clemson and No. 31 Georgia. Two freshmen newcomers lead the team with five singles wins each,
Gerard Escandell and
Filip Krolo.
Owls' Week in Preview
UCF (4-3) has topped Virginia and Illinois most recently, after losses against then-No. 10 UCLA and No. 7 Wake Forest. The Knights feature two ranked singles players, No. 14 Gabriel Decamps and No. 59 Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi, and that pair combines to slot No. 7 nationally among all doubles teams as well.

What's Next
Next weekend, the Owls travel to New York City to face Columbia, who is No. 7 in the ITA rankings and No. 8 by Tennis Channel/USTA. After that is the return home, a doubleheader on March 14, against Cleveland State at 8:30 a.m. and Army at 2:30 p.m.
