BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team will be back at the friendly confines of the FAU Tennis Complex Friday afternoon, hosting cross-state rival Florida Gulf Coast at 1:30 p.m.

Not only is Friday a great matchup against a top in-state opponent, it's also a Red/Blue Game for FAU student-athletes:

Owls' Week in Review
FAU (2-5) continued its brutal beginning-of-year schedule, with matches against No. 8 TCU and Notre Dame (RV) as part of ITA Kick-off Weekend. Though the Owls did not come away with a team victory, there was individual and doubles success, including Jason Legall taking a set against the No. 5-ranked player in DI from the Fighting Irish, and Filip Krolo leading his matchup when the ND decision was finalized.

Owls' Week in Preview
FGCU (1-2) began the year with losses to USF (7-0) and Georgia Southern (4-3) before picking up their first win of the season, 6-1 against Florida A&M. A year ago, the team went 14-9 with an unblemished 7-0 mark in Atlantic Sun play, the ASUN championship title, and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Last season in Fort Myers, the Owls took a narrow 4-3 victory over the homestanding Eagles, with Legall gaining the clinching point at No. 1 in the last match on the courts, 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 7-5.
