Recap vs. FGCU
The women's team came up with a historical 151-92 victory over Florida Gulf Coast last Friday to knock down the Eagles for the first time in over 11 years. FAU won nine of 13 events on the day, including a sweep in the 100 free with Fatimah Westbrook tallying first (52.92), Sarah Martin touching the wall second (53.71) and Mackenzie Brown punching in at third (53.89). The distance duo of Spence Atkins and Kirsten Hobson finished first and second, respectively in the 500 free, while the 400 medley relay team (Abby Marshall, Westbrook, Atkins and Brown) put up a first place feat in the event (3:51.93). Malvina Catalano won the 3-meter with a career-high score of 319.27, while Alicia Mora claimed first in the 1-meter (296.85). Catalano captured her second consecutive Conference USA Diver of the Week honors.

Last Time Against Florida State
Last year in the dual meet against the Seminoles, both teams fell to Florida State, but several Owls came up with solid individual finishes. Spence Atkins led the Owls by claiming first in the 200 fly (2:02.72), as well as second in the 200 free (1:53.10) and second in the 500 free (5:05.97). Abby Marshall tallied second in the 100 back (57.64) and second in the 200 back (2:06.47). Fatimah Westbrook took third in the 100 breast and Danica Garbett captured second in the 200 IM (2:08.97). Malvina Catalano tallied third place on both boards.

On the men's side, the distance crew delivered as usual, starting out individual events with a sweep in the 1000 free behind Josh Fountain in first (9:37.56), Will Smith in second (9:38.14) and Jack Shapiro in third (9:53.22). Alex Taber would later touch the wall second in the 200 back with a time of 1:53.56 to be followed by Braedan Leach in third (1:55.32). Logan Downey took third in the 1-meter.

The FAU women's team will take a short trek to Miami to face FIU in the annual dual meet on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.
