BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team, 9-0 at home in 2019 and winners of 12 matches in a row at the FAU Tennis Complex, open up the home portion of their 2020 slate this weekend. The Owls will host ETSU and USF, on Friday and Sunday, respectively. Friday's match will begin at 11 a.m. and Sunday at noon, each will have free admission, and both will have live statistics
available.
The 2020 spring season marks the fourth year of home matches at the on-campus courts for the program. In fact, Sunday's match against USF will come three years to the day of the FAU's first home match – and first home win – 4-0 over St. John's on Jan. 19, 2017. Since opening the complex, the Owls have been nearly unbeatable at home, posting a 28-3 record at the FAU Tennis Complex over that span.

Owls' Week in Preview
The first opponent of the weekend will be ETSU, the Bucs' first dual match of the spring. ETSU was 20-5 a year ago, and swept every conference opponent with both a 7-0 regular season league record and the Southern Conference Championship title. The Bucs were topped in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by South Carolina, after having won 17 of the previous 18 matches prior to that.
USF (1-0) took a win in their only dual match thus far, 7-0 over Florida Gulf Coast last Saturday. The Bulls were also an NCAA Tournament participant in 2019, posting an 18-8 overall record, earning the American Athletic Conference Championship title, and recording an upset win over No. 23 Alabama in the first round. The season came to a close at the hands of No. 2 Texas the following day. Earlier in the 2019 regular season, in February, USF edged out FAU in Tampa by a score of 4-3.
