BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will travel to Charleston, S.C. for its first round game in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

ABOUT THE OWLS

FAU is making just its third postseason appearance in school history.
The Owls appeared in the 2002 NCAA Tournament and the 2011 NIT.
A win would be the Owls' first in a postseason tournament.

LAST TIME OUT

The Owls (17-15) lost to Louisiana Tech 57-56 in the first round of the C-USA Tournament.
Xavian Stapleton posted 17 points and five rebounds.
Simeon Lepichev added 13 points.

SERIES HISTORY

Thursday's meeting will be the first ever between the Owls and Buccaneers.

SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN

Charleston Southern (17-15) won six of their last seven games prior to losing to Radford in the Big South Tournament semifinals.
