Owls to Take Part in Hall of Fame Series Orlando in December

PHOENIX – The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team will participate in the upcoming Hall of Fame Series Orlando, as the Owls will take on VCU as part of a featured doubleheader on Saturday, Dec. 12. The showcase event will emanate from the Kia Center, home of the NBA's Orlando Magic.
The Orlando portion of the series, put on by Position Sports in partnership with the Naismith Hall of Fame, features the Owls and the Rams, as well as Florida taking on Georgia Tech. Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 9 a.m. Eastern HERE. One ticket provides admission to both games.
"It's an incredible honor for Florida Atlantic to be invited to play in the Hall of Fame Series Orlando," said Head Coach John Jakus. "VCU is a great program, and this is certainly a special matchup of two programs that have experienced historic Final Four seasons. I am excited for the opportunity for our team and our fans, and also personally honored to be playing in this series in the same year that one of my mentors and friend, Mark Few, is being enshrined in the Hall of Fame."
This will be the first matchup since 2021 between the two programs, both of which have had notable Final Four runs (FAU in 2023 and VCU in 2011). The Owls are searching for their first win in the series, which also included three games in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
