Owls Set For Two Games in Inaugural Texas Legends College Classic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's basketball will be one of eight teams slotted to play in December's inaugural Texas Legends College Classic, presented by Kia, in Frisco, Texas.
Eight games will take place over the course of four days (Dec. 18-21) at Comerica Center, the home of the Texas Legends, the NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. The Owls will play on both Friday, Dec. 18, against Loyola Chicago, and Sunday, Dec. 20, vs. Colorado State.
"We are very honored to be invited to the Texas Legends College Classic," said Head Coach John Jakus. "It will be a great week to highlight and showcase elite basketball programs from across the country. The neutral site and high-level opponents will prepare us for both conference play and the postseason. We felt like this was a very unique invite that will allow the program to be highlighted nationally right before the holiday season."
FAU has an abbreviated series history with both opponents, having played each only once prior. The Owls are 0-1 against Colorado State and 1-0 against Loyola Chicago, a neutral site 75-62 victory on Nov. 8, 2023 at the Barstool Sports Invitational in Chicago.
Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster HERE, and are good for both games on each day. The full event schedule is as follows:

The Texas Legends Classic continues the Texas Legends' commitment to expanding premier basketball opportunities at Comerica Center while providing fans with access to high-level collegiate competition.
The event will feature programs representing the Mountain West Conference, PAC 12 Conference, Atlantic 10 Conference, American Conference, and West Coast Conference. In partnership with the American Heart Association, the event will also help support heart health awareness throughout the weekend.
