Diving Wraps Up Regular Season at Coral Springs Invite

BOCA RATON, Fla. –The Florida Atlantic University diving team took the boards for the final time of the regular season against FIU and Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at Coral Springs Aquatic Complex. FAU had two men and women divers each compete on the 1-meter and platform. This was the last chance for the divers to get more practice time leading up to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association and Conference USA championships at the end of the month.

FAU swimming and diving is preparing for their conference championships to be held at the end of the month. The men will be competing in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming and Diving Championships from Feb. 20 to 23, while the women will be taking the stage at the C-USA Championships from Feb. 27 to March 3.

Notables:
- 1-meter (men): Logan Downey captured first with a score of 322.35 with Michael Cannatelli, who competed in just his second meet as an Owl, followed the way in second (263.65)
- 1-meter (women): The lady Owls went seventh and ninth, respectively, as Kaleigh Dundov scored a personal best of 246.65 and Taylor Downs recorded a score of 223.25.
- Platform (men): Cannatelli was the only male to compete in the event and captured a score of 276 to claim the lone first-place position
- Platform (women): Dundov finished in seventh (189) and Downs followed right behind her (187.15)
