Lynchburg, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team wrapped up day one of the CCSA Swimming and Diving Championships with two podium finishes. After day one of the competition, the Owl men are positioned in second with 108 points, which is 30 points behind Incarnate Word in first and three points ahead of Old Dominion in third.
Michael Cannatelli and the 800-yard freestyle relay team claimed silver finishes and 11 different Owls captured lifetime best times and scores.

Notables:
- The team of Colin Kozak, Connor Smoak, Reilly Maguire and Josh Fountain captured the first podium finish of the weekend with a silver medal in the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:39.43)
- Freshman Cannatelli found his way to the podium with a silver medal in the 3-meter dive after capturing a score of 272.95 and besting his previous personal best score by over 30 points. Logan Downey finished in fourth (224)
- In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Reilly Maguire, Phillip Crouch III, Skyler Hamilton and Smoak finished fourth (1:30.40)
- The exhibition races took place today and several Owls marked new personal best times and first place finishes, including Alex Taber in the 100 IM, Braedan Leach in the 50-yard backstroke, Crouch in the 50-yard breaststroke and Hamilton in the 50-yard butterfly
