– The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming & diving team will host their second consecutive meet tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. against Princeton. Friday's meet will serve as the Owls' Paradise Meet, where the Tigers will be taking the trip to South Florida to face the Owls for the 11th year in a row.

The Owls squared off against the Tigers of Princeton last year for their 10th consecutive meet at FAU Aquatic Center. Although, the Princeton men and women took down FAU, the Owls had several top finishes on the day.
Fatimah Westbrook was the individual winner in the 100 breast (1:03.94) and finished third in the 100 free (53.34).
Spence Atkins completed the day with a first-place title in the 500 free (5:00.25), as well as second in the 200 fly (2:02.40). The 200 free relay team of Westbrook,
Abby Marshall,
Sarah Martin and
Kelsey Witkay capped off the meet with third place in the event.

On the men's side,
Will Smith completed two second place finishes, one in the 1650 (15:59.78) and the other in the 500 free (4:40.69).
Braedan Leach tallied third in the 200 back (1:52.32), while on the boards,
Logan Downey scored first place in the 3-meter (322.60) and second in the 1-meter (326.85).

FAU took on the reigning NJCAA National Champions in Indian River State for their annual dual meet last Friday. Both sides took down the Pioneers, with the women winning 205-95 and the men topping IRSC, 184-113. The women's team captured 11 first-place finishes and their third consecutive victory over the Pioneers.
Abby Marshall's two individual titles (100 and 200 back) and two top relay finishes (200 medley and 400 free relay) helped her take away Conference USA Swimmer of the Week honors. Two other Owls also took home two first place finishes in their individual events, which included
Spence Atkins (500 and 1000 free) and
Fatimah Westbrook (100 breast and 50 free).

On the men's side, the team took away 10 first place titles, as well as a new school record. The 200 medley relay team of
Kyle Douglas,
Carter Januzelli,
Rateb Hussein and
Andrew Garcia brook the FAU Freshman record with a time of 1:34.58. Hussein would go on to dominate in his individual events, coming up with first place titles in the 100 fly (49.66) and 200 fly (1:49.50). The freshman was also awarded as the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimmer of the Week for the second time in his young career. Douglas (100 back and 200 IM) and
Connor Smoak (50 and 100 free) also came up with two individual titles on the day in the respective events.

The divers also finished with notable performances.
Alicia Mora finished first in the 1-meter (274.80) and third in the 3-meter (222.60).
Malvina Catalano was recognized as the C-USA Diver of the Week after taking first in the 3-meter (270.82) and second in the 1-meter (271.50). On the men's side,
Logan Downey fulfilled second place finishes in both boards, which led to him being awarded with CCSA Diver of the Week honors for the ninth time in his career, a new school record.

Overall, the men's and women's teams swept in their respective Conference Athlete of the Week awards for the first time this season, second in the last two years.

FAU will endure much needed rest before they travel to the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. for the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason. The meet will take place from Thursday, Nov. 21 to Nov. 23 to cap off the Owls' fall slate of meets.
