Women's Golf Adds Lady Falcon in Place of Pirate Classic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team has added the Lady Falcon Invitational to the schedule, hosted by Daytona State. The tournament will take place September 14-16 at LPGA International Golf Club in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Owls are playing in the Lady Falcon as a replacement to the originally scheduled Pirate Classic that was to be held in Greenville, North Carolina. That tournament has been canceled because of Hurricane Florence's expected landfall in North Carolina over the weekend.

"Unfortunately, we won't be able to travel to North Carolina this weekend and we hope that the storm weakens and everyone in the area stays safe," head coach Aimee Neff said. "We are thankful that we were able add Daytona State's tournament this weekend on short notice to start our season."
