The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team finished play at the Jacksonville University Classic on Tuesday afternoon placing 14th with a team total of 954.
Sophomore Heather Netti was FAU's top finisher for the third time this season, tying for 34th and improving her play in the third round shooting 74 with a career best five birdies. Going into the third round, Netti was tied for 51st shooting six-over 78 in round one and seven-over 79 in round two. She also helped lead the Owls to a season best team total of 313 in the final round of play.
Christina Langer finished close behind tied for 48th place, carding 75 in the third round after shooting 82 and 78 in the first and second rounds, respectively. Junior Emily Peters followed, ending the tournament in 68th place after shooting 82 in the first round, 77 in the second, and 86 on the last day.
With a tournament total of 250, senior Nicole Marino tied for 72nd after two days of competition. Rounding out the Owls' competitors was junior Jacqueline Shelly who finished tied for 74th place.
The Owls will compete in the 37th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational, the final tournament of the team's fall season, on Nov. 2-4 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
