Storey Named Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week

The Sun Belt Conference named Florida Atlantic University's Mickey Storey the conference Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday. The junior recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts in a win over no. 17 Oklahoma State on Saturday night.

Storey improved to 3-0 on the year after he worked 7 2/3 innings against the Cowboys. He did not allow a walk and he faced 13 batters from the third through the seventh innings without allowing a hit.

For the season he is holding opponents to a .239 batting average and holds a 9.3 strikeout to walk ratio. He takes those stats into this weekend's matchup with no. 6 Rice on Friday.
