132 Student-Athletes Make the 3.0 Club

Boca Raton, FL - Approximately one-third of Florida Atlantic University student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better grade-point average during the Spring 2006 semester.

Women's swimming and diving (15), baseball (13), football (13) and men's swimming and diving (13) had the most athletes earn the distinction. A total of 132 student-athletes garnered recognition in the 3.0 Club.

The men's tennis team won the Outstanding Academic Performance "Team Award" for the highest overall G.P.A.

Thirty-nine athletes earned the Dean's List honors, while 11 of those reached the highest level of academic excellence, the President's List.

Student-athletes earning the President's list distinction were Megan Coyne (women's soccer), Michael Dender (men's swimming/diving), David Hayes (baseball), Claudia Kecht (women's tennis), Kendall Kirby (women's golf), Jon Koenigsfeld (baseball), Will Mann (baseball), Shire Standnes (men's soccer), Lisa Thompson (women's swimming/diving), Jannica Tjeder (women's track), and Elodie Wendling (women's tennis).
