11 Years, 22 Consecutive Semesters of Excellence

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic student-athletes have maintained above a 3.0 GPA for the past 11 years and 22 consecutive semesters.
Each semester, the Owls raise the bar by posting a 3.1 or better department GPA for nine straight semesters, achieving a 3.337 in the spring of 2026. In fact, the Owls have held a department spring GPA of 3.248 or better since 2023.
"We continue to achieve incredibly impressive numbers in the classroom with record GPAs from our teams and 22 consecutive semesters above a 3.0," said Brian White, FAU's vice president and director of athletics. "I'm proud of the consistent level of academic success by our student-athletes, and the efforts from our coaches and academic staff who support the mission."
In total, 315 student-athletes recorded a 3.0 or better, equating to 74.8% earning a spot on the 3.0+ lists, while 58 recorded a 4.0 GPA, and a total of 206 were members of either the President's or Dean's Lists. The football team recorded a 3.043, marking the first time in the program's history for the squad to earn above a 3.0 and surpassing their program's highest GPA for the third consecutive time under Hagerty Family Head Coach Zach Kittley's direction.
Football was one of 20 FAU teams to average a "B" or better. The men's swimming and diving team, who captured the ASUN Championship several weeks ago, posted the highest GPA on the men's side at 3.530. On the women's side the golf team were the high achievers with a 3.725. Women's swimming edged out women's soccer with a department high eight 4.0 recipients for the spring semester.
