State Tennis: Youngest individual to represent the state, did so several times...named the 2005 Elite Player...two-time U/14 member of the Mary Hawton Cup Team...also played the national Australian Hard Court championships...despite being unseeded she reached the semi-final only to fall to the no. 2 seed...2003 Pizzey Cup, the Australian Schools Team Challenge, represented Applecross at no. 1 singles and was undefeated. Team fell to New South Wales, but she was selected to the Australian Honour Team...played U/16 Reid Cup and U/18 Wilson cup at 15 and played the Australian Junior Summer Circuit...she also competed in the U/16 Australian Grass Court Championship...reached the quarter finals in singles and was a finalist in doubles, falling 7-5, 6-4...also played in the Darwin, Northern Territory open tournament...captured the U/16 event and reached the semi-final for both the Women[apos]s Open in singles and doubles.
Summer Tennis: Played Women[apos]s State League where she played the former junior no.1 Siobhan-Drake Brockman and circuit players, namely Donna Blackwell...was the youngest and only one to defeat Blackwell that season with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory...also played ITF Australian events.
High School: Played for Angela Green at Applecross Senior High School, a top-rated school that specializes in tennis...five-time player of the year...Academic honors achieved: received honors for geography in 2003 and was ranked no. 1 in health studies...two-sport athlete (tennis and cross country).
Personal: Communication major...daughter of Di Lei and Anthony Kong...born Sept. 7, 1988 in Perth, Western Australia.
