Elizabeth Hightower, a former softball player at the University of Florida, joined the Florida Atlantic University softball staff as a graduate assistant in August of 2023.
The native of Monticello, Fla. was a pitcher at UF where she was named Senior CLASS Award Top 10 Finalist. She was ranked top 10 in the SEC for innings pitched. In her career as a Gator, she registered 14 combined shutouts.
In the 2022 season, she finished with a 2.43 ERA in 167.0 innings pitched. Hightower recorded 17 wins on the season with 35 appearances and 20 starts in the circle for the Gators. Totaled 133 strikeouts on the year.
Off the field, Hightower was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient. She earned her bachelor degree in Anthropology.
