Why I Chose FAU:'It has a great athletic program. This gives me the opportunity to continue my tennis development while studying in a great university.'
As a Freshman ([apos]08-09): Compiled a 17-8 mark with 13 victories coming at the number six singles position...Finished season with six straight wins...Also saw action as the number five single player posting a 3-5 record...Teammed with Lawrence Harradine in the three doubles position and collected 15 wins...That combination won eight of its last 10 matches including six straight to cap off the season.
High School: Played for Mark Elman at LaSalle High School...two-time state champion ([apos]06 Division 4 and [apos]08, Division 2).
Personal: Marketing major...son of Miriam Ruiz and Hector Nieto...born April 21, 1989 in Mexico City, Mexico.
