Stefan Tell joined the men[apos]s tennis staff in the fall of 2008 as an assistant coach.

Tell has trained and competed at the highest levels and under some of the best teachers and coaches of the game at both the junior and collegiate levels. This experience along with his eagerness to teach tennis will enhance the team[apos]s daily workouts.

While at FAU, Tell will also study in the Barry Kaye MBA program in an effort to capitalize on his ability to fluently speak four languages (Spanish, German, Portuguese) in the area of International Business.
Prior to 2006 Tell attended the University of Florida where he was a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member. Tell was also named to the SEC Goodworks Team in 2006 and captured two SEC Championship titles and one SEC Tournament title. During his 2005-06 season Tell climbed to a no. 56 national ranked and finished his senior campaign with an 18-7 singles record.
The Cardinal Gibbons High School product was a two-time individual state champion and won three state team titles and one national title. He served as Gibbons[apos] captain as a senior. The high school honor roll member, was ranked no. 2 in Florida section and no. 5 in USTA boys 18s. He captured the boys 18s International Hard Courts and finished third in the boys 18s at the National Clay courts and was a semifinalist in the boys 18s Florida Open and defeated Jesse Witten to capture the boys 18s Florida Section State Title. Tell competed in the main draw of Kalamazoo, Eddie Herr, Orange Bowl, Junior US Open, Copa de Café in Costa Rica and in the ITF Circuit in South America, North America and in Europe.
