At Methodist, Gogerty wore several hats including linebackers coach, co-defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator as well as the team’s recruiting coordinator from 2016-19 as he oversaw efforts to change the culture of the program
Under his co-efforts as a defensive coordinator, the defense ranked in the top three of USA Athletic Conference, despite a young defense
The defense ended its season No. 1 among conference teams in sacks and as a scoring defense and were among the nation’s top 20
This defense ended its campaign as one of the university’s best in its 27-year history and claimed multiple all-conference selections
Oversaw a linebacker room that comprised a three time All-Conference, two-time All-Region and All-American selection

In 2016, added special teams coordinator duties to his responsibilities and saw the team’s returner garner Division III National Returner of the Year honors after averaging 21.8 yards per punt return
From 2017-19, was responsible for the Monarchs’ offensive line and he coordinated the run game
The offensive line, led by two all-conference offensive line selections in D.J Twitty and Traven Johnson, paved the way for the offense to Monarchs to shatter the program’s previous records with 2,095 rushing yards through nine games for an average of 232.8 yards per game, 6.4 yards per carry and 20 rushing TD
Twitty, a two-time All-Conference and All-Region selection, and Johnson, helped to provide gaps for the university’s lead rusher, Vontre Howard
Howard was a two-time All-Conference selection and finished the nine-game season with 1,300 yards and held a 9.1 yards per carry average to also claim the Conference Player of the Year award
The offensive line not only provided gaps it also provided protection for a passing game that totaled 1,704 yards (for an average of 180.3 yards per game) and recorded 15 touchdowns while allowing just nine sacks in 280 snaps
