Owls Reach Academic High Under Kittley’s Direction

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic football flashed with its face paced air-raid offense in the fall of 2025, boasting once of the country's best quarterback/receiver tandems. But more important has been the Owls' attention to the academic detail, posting a 3.0 team GPA for the first time in program history.

Under Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley's direction, the Owls posted the program's highest spring GPA of 2.979 in the spring of 2025, only to surpass that mark in the fall and then once again in the spring of 2026 with a 3.043.

"We are proud of our student-athletes' classroom success," said Kittley. "We believe that how you do anything is how you do everything, and their academic success shows that the young men are dedicated to their success on and off the field. Our student-athletes take great pride in having the three highest semesters in program history while working toward their degrees."

In total, 64 members of the team earned a 3.0 or better. Two members, Joshua Harriott and Tito Nunez, were named to the President's List and 21 earned a spot on the Dean's List.
