2003: Started every game as the team's signal caller and led the squad to an 11-3 record and a NCAA Division I-AA Semi-Final berth.. .began his junior campaign by orchestrating the final two minutes of the Middle Tennessee State game that saw the Owls score twice in the waning moments, both via a pass, to defeat the Blue Raiders and earn the program's first Division I-A victory in just the 22nd game of the program's existence...ended the campaign among a trio of FAU quarterbacks used that ranked. No. 2 in passing efficiency at 159.46...individually, Allen ranked no. 4 nationally inefficiency at 153.60...he ranked no. 46 in total offense with 201.83...during the initial stages of FAU's 10-game win streak Allen had 161 pass attempts without an interception...threw for a career-high 352 yards against UCF (40-26-0) at season's end was named the team's Co-MVP...was named first team I-AA Independent All-Star, second team All-South by Don Hansen's Weekly Gazette...also earned I-AA Independent Player of the Week Honors for his performance against UCF tallying 352 yards on a 26-40 performance that included two game-winning passes deflected two in the end zone...spring honor roll member.
2002: Allen entered the fall season as the team’s no. 1 QB…injuries forced him to both stay healthy and play with nagging injuries…the sophomore led FAU against three Division I A opponents and five teams ranked no. 25 or higher in the Division IAA polls….ended the season with a 115.63 pass efficiency rating…attempted 193 of the team’s 254 pass attempts and completed 50.8 percent…scored seven touch downs, his longest a 56 yard connection with Brittney Tellis at Eastern Kentucky….ran for two touchdowns…the first was a one yard scamper against Youngstown State…the second was a one yard run and was the first score in the first FAU versus FIU match-up, or better known as the Shula Bowl…named inaugural Shula Bowl MVP…set a new single-game passing record against Eastern Kentucky…at season’s end named team’s Offensive MVP.
2001: Competed neck and neck for the starting job….A coin flip determined the inaugural game starter…Allen made the call, Jahn was the inaugural game's starter….Allen started the second half and turned in a 9-18-1 passing performance…his longest reception was a 19-yard connection with Justin Thomas…he played in every game (10), started the next against Bethune-Cookman, which was ranked no. 22 at game time and guided the team to a 31-28 victory and earn starts in six of the next seven games…was in the top-half of the country for much of the year in passing efficiency, he finished 70th…saw limited action against Eastern Illinois after receiving a concussion…returned the following week to lead FAU to a 27-9 victory over Albany in the season=s finale...ended the 2001 season with 1185 yards, six touch downs and an average of 118.5 yards per game…also scored one rushing touchdown, a seven yard run against Bethune, the program’s first offensive score…following the 2001 inaugural season the freshman was named the team=s MVP.
2000: One of three quarterbacks signed in the first class...the trio were also roommates and shared playing time in the fall...he improved as the year progressed...his quick feet and ability to move in the pocket proved to be his best attribute.
High School: Played for Brian Kelly at Edmond High School...named 1999 All-State...as a senior: was 171-282 (61%) for 1,973 yards and 18 touchdowns...as a junior: was 145-232 (63%) for 1,502 total yards including nine touchdowns...named a 1999 Blue Chip (pre-season) athlete...earned first team All-Edmond area quarterback, All-Metro Conference quarterback, All-District 6A-1 quarterback, All-City (Oklahoma City) and was named Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State quarterback...involved with FCA, where he was named player of the week as both a junior and as a senior...also named to the Jim Thorpe All-Star Game and was selected MVP...two-sport athlete (football and basketball).
Personal: Political Science major...son of Lyndon and Sharon Allen...born August 26, 1981 in Edmond, OK. Father was an offensive lineman at University of Central Oklahoma. His brother Josh played football at Murray State, Butler Junior College and Southwest Oklahoma. His oldest brother Jason played at Arkansas. Either his father or mother, sometimes both, are at every game.
