BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's soccer hosts the preseason American Conference favorite, (RV) Memphis, on Sunday night at FAU Soccer Stadium.
The Owls (3-4-4, 1-1-0) are among five teams that are a point behind the co-leading Tigers (4-3-2, 1-0-1) and East Carolina in the American standings. Memphis is currently in the midst of a 31-match unbeaten streak within American play. First kick will be at 6 p.m. on the Owls' home pitch, and Jake Marsh and Ari Shanok will be on the call on ESPN+.
In celebration of "Soccer Sundae," the first 25 fans through the FAU Soccer Stadium gates will get free Dippin' Dots. Owl car shades will also be given away, and there will be pumpkin painting pregame while supplies last.
ABOUT THE OWLS
The Tigers have won all five matches in the series. Three have been one-goal contests, including last season in Memphis, when a goal by Kitagawa with just 1:14 to go was the game-winner in the then-No.8 Tigers' 2-1 victory.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- FAU was on the road Thursday night, falling 1-0 to UAB in Birmingham.
- Netminder Lily Holden had a career-high nine saves against 13 total Blazer shot attempts on the night.
- Both Hailey Santiago and Claire Niedermeier of North Texas were held goal-less in their respective Thursday matchups, so the two stay deadlocked at a league-leading nine apiece. They are among a group of seven players in the nation with nine goals, tied for seventh among all DI scorers.
- Santiago holds a two-point advantage over Niedermeier for the conference lead, 20-18. She is tied for 11th nationally in that category.
- Memphis followed up a 2-0 win in their American opener over Rice with a 1-1 tie Thursday on the road at South Florida.
- Ai Kitagawa, the unanimous 2025 American Midfielder of the Year, paces the team in goals (four), assists (two, with three others) and points (10).
- Goalkeeper Ava Galani has seen every minute in net for Tigers, with three clean sheets.
- Head Coach Brooks Monaghan led the team to a 17-1-3 mark last year, with the only loss coming in the second round of the NCAA Championship.
