Owls Kick Off 2026 Season, Hosting FIU at Flagler Credit Union Stadium

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's soccer team lifts the lid off the 2026 campaign on Wednesday night, hosting border rival FIU on Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union Stadium.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the on-campus stadium in Boca Raton, and the game will be televised live on ESPN+. The women's soccer season has started on Schnellenberger Field every year since 2021, and prior to that, from 2016-18.

ABOUT THE OWLS

Head Coach Patrick Baker begins his 14th season atop the program, and 35th as a collegiate head coach. His FAU record is 111-104-38, and overall, he is 356-266-68.
The 27-player roster for 2026 sees an influx of 17 newcomers, including 12 true freshmen.
Of the team's 10 returners, five recorded 10 or more starts a year ago: forwards Sutton Markee and Hailey Santiago, midfielder Isabel Bostic, defender Sydney Neira and goalkeeper Ashley Small.
Santiago was voted Third Team American All-Conference, and Bostic was chosen to the Freshman All-Conference team.
Geographically, the team hails from across 10 different states, including 14 natives of the Sunshine State, along with three players originally from Canada and one from Brazil.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS

Mat Dunn is the Panthers' second-year head coach, after a 14-season tenure at Keiser. The team went 7-6-4 in 2025; Dunn is 239-41-19 overall with two NAIA national titles.
FIU had a 4-3-1 record in Conference USA last season, earning the No. 5 seed and falling to No. 4 Middle Tennessee in the quarterfinal round.
Of the team's five All-C-USA honorees last year, only sophomore Roxy Brewer returns. She was both Third Team All-Conference and C-USA All-Freshman.
The Panthers have 10 returners and 19 newcomers on their 2026 roster.

ABOUT THE SERIES
FIU is FAU's most frequent opponent; this will mark the 41st all-time matchup between the two programs. The Panthers hold a 24-13-3 advantage, and FAU is 8-2-1 in the series since 2015. In University Park last year, FIU took a 3-1 victory.

TICKETING AND PROMOTIONS
Pre-sale tickets are available for $12 including fees online HERE, while attendees 12 and under can purchase $5 tickets by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS or on game night at the stadium gates. For group tickets or further questions, fans can also call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.

Fans will also have the opportunity to win four tickets to see Inter Miami CF and Lionel Messi play at Nu Stadium at Miami Freedom Park this fall. One lucky winner will be announced at the stadium game and must be present to win. To enter, check in at the marketing table prior to the game to have a chance to see one of the greatest soccer players of all-time take the pitch.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. so that fans can participate in games and activities before kickoff. There will also be postgame autographs. Parking for the stadium game will be in Lot 5, just north of the stadium.
