BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic softball team will conclude the 2026 regular season with a home series versus UAB, beginning Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m. followed by Friday, May 1 at the same time and concluding on Saturday, May 2 at noon. All three games will be on ESPN+.
Entering the final weekend of the regular season, the Owls (31-18, 12-12) are in fifth place in the American Conference standings and will face a Blazers team (20-30, 7-17) that are currently in ninth.
It will be a busy weekend on Joan Joyce Field at FAU Softball Stadium. Thursday will be "Paradise Night" with giveaways of Pit Viper sunglasses and Publix koozies while supplies last, while on Friday fans are encouraged to bring their furry friends for "Bark in the Park." $1 hot dogs and $2 beers will also be available at the concessions stand on Friday while supplies last. Saturday will mark Senior Day, with 10 players to be honored in a postgame ceremony.
The series will be presented by Baptist Health.
LAST TIME OUT
Florida Atlantic secured its second consecutive series win, taking two games on the road at Memphis. The Owls achieved their 11th run-rule victory on Friday with a 10-1 win in five innings followed by a 7-4 comeback on Saturday.
ABOUT THE OWLS
- Head Coach Jordan Clark is in her fourth season and holds a record of 152-66. Clark and her assistants received the American Conference Coaching Staff of the Year recognition in both 2024 and '25.
- The Owls are averaging 8.3 runs per game in their last 26 victories while holding opponents to 1.7.
- As a team, FAU leads the American in runs (293), hit-by-pitches (45), runs allowed (158), and opposing batting average (.244).
- Florida Atlantic ranks No. 9 nationwide in fielding percentage (.980).
- Senior pitcher Autumn Courtney became the program's fifth All-American in May of 2025 after winning the unanimous American Conference Pitcher of the Year honor. In 2026, she has earned two American Pitcher of the Week Awards and currently leads the team with 111 strikeouts and a 2.44 ERA while standing at the top of the conference with 16 victories. Courtney is No. 5 nationally among all active players with 76 career wins. In March, she was named the Palm Beach County Amateur Athlete of the Year.
- Redshirt junior outfielder Kylie Hammonds leads the team in hits (56) and runs (48). Her nine homers are more than any FAU player had in 2025.
- Senior third baseman Jesiana Mora leads the Owls in batting average (.400) and RBI (38), while reaching base in 38 out of 43 starts. On Feb. 28 against Coastal Carolina, she tied FAU's single-game record in walks with four. Mora has been retired via strikeout just four times in 2026 and while she has only struck out 30 times in her collegiate career, she has brought down that number each season with 12 (2023), eight (2024), six (2025) and just four in 2026. In the same career span, she has reached base via a walk 86 times.
- In the last 19 games, redshirt junior outfielder Ciara Gibson is batting .380 with 19 hits, 12 runs, six homers and 20 RBI. She drove in at least one run in 10 straight appearances.
- During conference play, senior catcher Chloe Yeatts leads the team with 25 RBI.
- Sophomore Lily Holtje has earned both an American Player of the Week and two Honorable Mention recognitions. She leads the Owls in walks (26).
- In 102 at-bats, sophomore outfielder Bella Foran has struck out just three times. She is batting .363, third on the team.
- Graduate pitcher Ainsley Lambert is No. 4 nationally with six saves and is the career leader among all active Division I players with 28.
ABOUT THE BLAZERS
- This weekend, the Blazers will be led by Assistant Coach Anna Shelnutt.
- Senior outfielder Ashlyn Shirah leads the way at the plate with eight home runs and 38 RBI on a .354 average.
- Junior pitcher Olivia Cummings has made a team-best 20 starts in the circle and holds a 4.05 ERA.
- UAB is No. 15 nationwide in fielding percentage (.976).
- Florida Atlantic leads the all-time series over the Blazers 14-7, including the last seven matchups.

The American Conference Tournament in Greenville, North Carolina awaits. The Owls are currently in fifth place, which would see them play on Wednesday, May 6 at 4 p.m. Pending weekend results, Florida Atlantic can finish within the top four seeds, which would award the team a bye for the first two rounds.
