BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 16-ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team heads to the Lone Star State to compete against its toughest competition of the season thus far with four top 10 matchups at the Texas Invitational on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28 at ATX Beach.
Along with the Sandy Owls (13-7, 2-0 CUSA), the tournament field features No. 10 Long Beach (15-5), No. 3 USC (18-3), No. 2 Stanford (17-2), and No. 1 UCLA (15-2).

The Owls will open play on Friday, against No. 3 USC at 12 p.m. ET. USC holds a 9-0 all-time lead against the Owls. Florida Atlantic will then close out its first day of play with a 2:30 p.m. ET first serve against No. 10 Long Beach. LBSU won the only meeting between the Owls and the Beach, taking a 4-1 contest on March 12, 2023, during the Battle for LA in Los Angeles.
Florida Atlantic will resume play for day two on Saturday, taking on No. 2 Stanford at 9:30 a.m. ET. The series between the Owls and the Cardinal is tied 2-2 all-time. FAU will look to snap a two-game skid against Stanford, with the Cardinal taking the last two meetings between the two teams. The Sandy Owls will cap off the weekend with a 1:30 p.m. ET battle against the No. 1 team in the nation, UCLA. The Bruins hold a 7-0 record against FAU, including a 4-1 decision in the last meeting between the two programs on March 30, 2024, in Baton Rouge, La.

Following this weekend's Texas Invitational, the Owls will return to Paradise on April 10-11 to host their Capri Classic for senior weekend with Friday's matches live on ESPN+.
