BOCA RATON, Fla. - Finishing third, Florida Atlantic beach volleyball junior
Denisse Morgenstern won the bronze medal during the South American Beach Volleyball Championship, hosted by the South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV) in João Pessoa, Brazil.

Morgenstern and her partner, Fiorella Nunez Quintana, represented Paraguay, posting a 5-2 record throughout the championship. They qualified for the championship semifinals, before dropping a two-set battle, 2-0 (19-21, 11-21), against the eventual champions, Brazil's Thamela Coradello Galil and Victoria Lopes Pereira Tosta. The duo bounced back in the third-place match, claiming bronze with a three-set comeback, 2-1 (18-21, 21-15, 15-8), against Verena Figueira de Oliveira and Thainara Mylena Feitosa de Oliveira of Brazil.
