DeCasas named AVCA Junior Beach All-American

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2026 Junior Beach All-Americans on Tuesday, with incoming Florida Atlantic beach volleyball freshman Molly DeCasas receiving All-American Honorable Mention honors.
"Molly has compiled an amazing high school career," expressed head coach Steve Grotowski. "Her hard work and dedication have made her into one of the best players in her class. I'm excited for her to join our team!"
DeCasas was one of 24 athletes to be recognized as a 2026 All-American, including players from eight states. California led the way with nine, followed by Florida and Texas with four each, Arizona and North Carolina with two, and New Jersey, Ohio and Washington each with one All-American.
Arriving in Paradise from Holly Springs, North Carolina, DeCasas played indoor volleyball with the Cary High School Crowns and for the Sinjin Beach Volleyball club team.
During her senior season, DeCasas earned four first-place finishes: at the Wilmington Volleyball Series (WVS) 2026 Adult Season Opener, the Sinjin April U18 Tournament, the Sinjin June U18 Tournament, and the Sinjin Collegiate U18 Showcase #2, and finished second during the Sinjin Collegiate U18 Showcase #1.
As a junior, DeCasas earned 2024 All-State Third Team honors with the Cary Crowns. On the sand, she earned a pair of first-place finishes at the Arizona, FGCU, Tulane, GSU, and FAU Showcase & Senior Day 18U, and the Sinjin May AVP/p1440 College Recruiting Showcase 16U, in addition to earning a pair of second-place finishes during the p1440 Futures Tour: Alabama and the Sinjin Premier/Select 2025 Season Kick-off 18U, and finishing third during the Sinjin May AVP/p1440 College Recruiting Showcase 18U.
As a sophomore, DeCasas finished first during the Sinjin Senior Send-off & Recruiting Showcase 18U and earned four second-place finishes at the AVP/p1440 Battle for the Throne #1 16U and 18U, as well as the Sinjin Senior Send-off & Recruiting Showcase 16U and the AVP America Kauai Bikini Women's Summer Opener. She also finished third during the p1440 Futures Tour: Texas and the AVP/p1440 Battle for the Throne #2 18U.
In her freshman season, DeCasas placed first five times, at the USAV Charlotte National Qualifier 16U, the Sinjin Beach Stein Metzger Twilight Showcase 16U, the August Juniors Tournament 16U, the 2022 WVS September AVP Adult Open, and the 2023 WVS Spring Adult Open. She also earned three second-place finishes during the 2023 WVS AVP America Juniors Spring Challenge 18U, the USAV Tidewater Fall National Qualifier 18U, and the Sinjin Beach Collegiate Showcase 16U, as well as placing third during the USAV Grand Slam National Qualifier.
