PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – Florida Atlantic men's tennis, who is on the second leg of the four-match road swing, fell 4-0 to a strong UPenn squad on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.

With the loss, the Owls fall to 4-4, while the Quakers improve to 9-3.

THE BEGINNING
As tradition, the two teams began with doubles play. The Owls top doubles duo of Mark Havlicek / Marek Pazdera, ranked No. 82 nationally, fell to No. 6 Manfredi Graziani / Aaron Sandler by a 6-4 score. On court #2, FAU's Simon Myslivec / Segundo Goity Zapico earned a 6-2 win, but UPenn clinched the point with a win on court #3.

THE FINISH
With the Owls trailing 1-0, singles play began. UPenn captured courts #1 and #2 in straight sets and came from behind on court #6 to pick up a three-set win as well as clinch the win at 4-0.

UP NEXT
At Tulsa
The team will then make its way to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a non-conference contest against a fellow American Conference member on March 3. That match is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. While the schools are familiar, it will be the first meeting between the two teams. The contest will air on ESPN+.

At Tulane
The four-match road stint will conclude on Thursday, March 5, at Tulane against another American Conference member, but it will be a non-conference match, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. The Owls tied the Tulane all-time series 2-2 a year ago with a 6-1 victory in Boca Raton.

RETURNING HOME
The Owls will return home to the friendly confines of the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center to host Utah State on March 10, Rice on March 13, Old Dominion on March 15, and East Tennessee State on March 18.
