BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball earned a 3-2 series finale victory over Iowa on Sunday. The Owls are now 3-4 heading into a midweek matchup with Miami (9-0) on Wednesday.
THE BEGINNING
The Owls got off to a fast start, scoring first for the first time in the series in the opening inning.
Marshall Lipsey led off with a single and, after

Brando Leroux lined an opposite-field double to the right field corner to make it 1-0.
Iowa went ahead with three straight hits to start the third inning off
Garrett Grant, but the freshman settled in to induce two groundouts and a pop-up to strand the bases loaded.
THE TURNING POINT
Romano and Leroux strung together back-to-back singles in the bottom of the third, and the former eventually came home on a groundout by
Ian Collier to tie the game.
With two outs in the fourth,
Kyle Boylston took the first pitch he saw and launched it over the left field wall to put the Owls up 3-2. It was the sophomore's first collegiate home run.
THE FINISH
