2025 NFL Owls - Wild Card Weekend

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2025 NFL Wild Card Weekend has concluded with three former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action on an active roster and three on a practice squad. All three active players participated in the Houston Texans versus Pittsburgh Steelers matchup, with the Texans reigning victorious and advancing to the divisional round. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the opening weekend of the postseason (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (3)
#0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- The Pro Bowler Al-Shaair had an active Monday night, registering six tackles in 52 snaps. With Houston holding a 7-6 lead in the third quarter and the Steelers nearing midfield, he made a tackle for loss in the flats to help thwart Pittsburgh's drive. The Texans scored 23 unanswered points in the fourth quarter with two defensive touchdowns to win 30-6.
