Owls Set to Compete in FSU XC Invite

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's cross country teams reunite for the annual FSU XC Invite on Friday, Sept. 26. Men will compete first to start the morning, and the women will follow to conclude the race.

The race will take place at Apalachee Regional Park, which is a familiar course for the Owls. Fans can tune in to watch the race live on YouTube. The men will start at 7:40 a.m. and the women are scheduled to start at 8:20 a.m.

Florida Atlantic will have seven representatives on the men's side (Nazayer Franco, Luke Gaudet, Paul Glick, Sam Henery, Noah Highsmith, Donovan Petty, Nathan Webb). On the women's side, there will be ten runners to compete.

At the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala., Sophie Dethier made her freshman debut, finishing with a time of 18:24.9.
The second runner to represent the Owls was Reese Anderson, who completed the race with a 19:26.4 in her second race at FAU.

Men (5k)

Henery competed in his first race of the season and finished with a time of 26:27.3.
Senior Glick was the second to cross the finish line for Florida Atlantic.
