HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Some individuals from the Florida Atlantic men's and women's cross country teams competed at the annual Southern Showcase hosted by Jacksonville State on Friday morning.

The men ran an 8k to start the morning, and the women followed with running a 5k.

Florida Atlantic had a total of three runners compete in the race. Sophie Dethier and Reese Anderson on the women's side and Samuel Henery and Paul Glick on the men's side.

QUICK HITS
Women (5K)

Dethier made her freshman debut, and she finished with an 18:24.9.
The second runner to represent the Owls was Anderson, who completed the race with a 19:26.4 in her second race at FAU.

Men (5k)

Henery competed in his first race of the season and finished with a time of 26:27.3.
Senior Glick was the second to cross the finish line for Florida Atlantic.

UP NEXT
The full squad will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the FSU Invitational on Friday, Sept. 26.
