BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's soccer team kicked off the 2025 season at Flagler Credit Union Stadium, tying with Loyola Maryland in a 1-1 draw on Thursday evening.
In the eighth game, the Owls (0-0-1) have played at the Flagler Credit Union Stadium, which marks the second tie, the last occurring in 2023.
Making her fourth career start at goalkeeper, sophomore
Ashley Small recorded two saves in the first 20 minutes. The Greyhounds struck first with a goal to go up 1-0 at the 34-minute mark of the opening half.
Entering the second half trailing, the Owls responded eight minutes in when freshman
Isabel Bostic scored her first collegiate goal off a deflection for the equalizer, bringing the crowd of 1105 to their feet. The highest attendance for women's soccer since 2018.
The two teams traded shots the rest of the way but came up empty-handed. Small added two more saves in the second half for a career high of four on the night.
