BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic football team congratulates three players who have signed contracts to extend their playing careers professionally in the National Football League following the conclusion of the 2025 draft. Since the program's inception 24 years ago, the Owls now have 65 NFL/CFL signees who have signed a professional football contract.
Offensive lineman and six-year member of the Owls Federico Maranges signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Maranges saw action each season as a member of two bowl teams and was an every-game starter at center in 2023 and 2024. He is the fourth Owl in five years to sign a contract with Seattle.
Defensive lineman Devonta Davis will continue his playing career after signing a free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts. Davis saw action in 12 games in 2024 and collected 29 total tackles, five of which were for a loss on 13 including 1.5 for a loss of seven yards and one forced fumble.
"Buggs" Khazir Brown joined the Owls in 2024 as a cornerback and quickly etched himself as a contributing starter with an interception on the first play of the season at Michigan State. He ended his season with two interceptions and 44 tackles, including two for a loss of three yards.
