Prestige Windows Student-Athletes of the Month Named

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic Athletics has named its Prestige Windows & Doors Student-Athletes of the Month for March with baseball's Jake Millan and Corin Dammeier from the No. 21 softball team receiving the honors.
The monthly awards are presented to a male and female Florida Atlantic student-athlete to recognize their excellence in the classroom. FAU's athletic academic staff votes on the award. It is the first time this duo has received the honors.
"Jake Millan is on track to graduate this spring with his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance has been crushing it this semester with a 4.0 GPA. Clearly, no senioritis for this student-athlete. As the starting first baseman for the Owls, he is third on the team in homers. Kudos to Jake for being a dedicated student-athlete throughout his career," - Eric Zeaman, Assistant AD/Senior Associate Director, Student-Athlete Success Center.
"Corin Dammeier is an excellent example of what it truly means to be a student-athlete. She hit the ground running on her first day at Florida Atlantic in the fall of 2024. Corin consistently maintains exceptional grades while balancing the demands of her sport. She holds herself to a high standard and works incredibly hard on the field and in the classroom, which is evident by her 3.96 cumulative GPA as an accounting major. She is long deserving of the Student-Athlete of the Month honor. Congratulations, Corin! " - Jordan Pitre, Director of Student-Athlete Development/Athletic Academic Advisor.Â
