BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 22 Florida Atlantic softball team remains in Paradise for a three-game series against North Texas on ESPN+ from Friday, April 11 to April 13. The opening game's first pitch is at 6 p.m.
For the second week in a row, the Owls (34-7, 13-2) will look to remain atop of the American Athletic Conference standings and thwart off the league's number two team with the Mean Green (28-13, 10-5) coming off back-to-back sweeps in their last two series.

Florida Atlantic went 2-1 against South Florida (30-12-1, 9-5-1) with a Friday night 8-0 run-rule victory before clinching the series with the 5-1 win on Sunday. The Owls have now won eight straight AAC series dating back to the 2024 season.
Junior pitcher
Autumn Courtney picked up both wins with 10 shutout innings and seven strikeouts while allowing just five hits. She was named AAC Pitcher of the Week for a league-high fourth time, while sophomore outfielder
Kylie Hammonds earned a spot on the honorable mention list after reaching base 10 times in 16 plate appearances.
- The Owls are led by Head Coach Jordan Clark in her third season at the helm of the program with a record of 110-43.
- Among members of the AAC, FAU leads in batting average (.333), hits (366), fielding percentage (.981), ERA (2.50), shutouts (seven), and strikeouts (220). They are tied with North Texas in runs (248).
- Nationwide, Florida Atlantic is ranked fifth in fielding percentage, 14th in hits, 19th in doubles (67), 25th in ERA, 29th in batting average, 30th in runs, and 33rd in RBI (235).
- Hammonds becomes the seventh Owl in 2025 to receive a weekly accolade from the conference. She has reached base in 37 out of 41 games this season.
- Freshman outfielder Bella Foran is 19th nationwide in batting average (.470) and tied for 26th in hits (54).
- Courtney has won a league-high four AAC Pitcher of the Week awards. She is ranked 30th nationally in strikeouts (116), 36th in ERA (1.85), and is tied for second in victories with a 17-1 record.
- Senior pitcher Ainsley Lambert leads the NCAA in saves with eight.
- The Owls' 34 wins are tied for fourth most in the nation. 13 are via a comeback, fifth most in the NCAA.
- Florida Atlantic is ranked No. 22 by D1Softball, No. 24 by Softball America, and No. 25 in the NFCA Coaches Poll.
- North Texas is led by Head Coach Rodney DeLong in his seventh season leading the program.
- The Mean Green lead the conference in walks (162) and are tied with the Owls for first in runs.
- Reigning AAC Player of the Week and senior outfielder Kailyn Bearpaw leads the team with eight home runs and 36 RBI.
- In the circle, North Texas is led by sophomore pitcher Anneca Anderson, with an 11-3 record and a 3.29 ERA, as well as senior Skylar Savage, who has a team-high 12 victories.
- The Mean Green own the all-time series over the Owls at 28-18.
