RALEIGH, N.C. – The
Florida Atlantic women's track & field distance runners completed a successful evening in the Raleigh Relays on Friday for the first outdoor out-of-state meet of the season.
The Owls started the day with the 1500-meter, setting new program records and personal bests. Florida Atlantic ended the meet with
Jessica Hatch and
Anabell Reumann running the 3000-meter steeplechase. Collectively on the day, FAU set three program records, and every athlete recorded a personal best.
- First event for Florida Atlantic, the 1500-meter, where freshman Constance Pittet and Leah Helms represented the Owls.
- Pittet set a personal best in her first outdoor meet to etch her name in the record book at No. 2 with a 4:33.30 time.
- Helms ran a 4:43.88 to set her best performance of the season.
- More records were set for FAU as sophomore Hatch moved from No. 6 to No. 2 in program history in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:28.33). Her days' time was a 46-second improvement from last season.
- Reumann ran in her first meet of the 2025 season, turning in a 10:29.44 time to record a new personal best by eight seconds.
The sprinters will compete in Coral Gables, Fla., for the second consecutive weekend this week at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, March 29. The Owls will participate in the high jump in the first event of the day.
