LYNCHBURG, Va. – The No. 70 Florida Atlantic men's tennis team saw its season-long winning streak end at seven after a 5-2 loss to host Liberty on Friday evening.

The Owls (8-8) continued to flex their muscles on the doubles' courts with a win on court one and a shutout win on court two, while court three was abandoned in the best of three clinch format.

Liberty (8-10) captured the match with five singles wins, victorious on all but court five where FAU sophomore Simon Myslivec has been the winner of his last three outing. On Friday, he needed three sets 7-6(7-4), 3-6, 6-1 to get the win.

FAU will next play fellow American Athletic Conference member Charlotte at 12 p.m. on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina. The match was originally scheduled for Sunday but changed due to anticipated weather. For match details click HERE.
