BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team recorded its fifth-consecutive win by defeating the visiting Georgia State Panthers 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon. Prior to the victory being logged, the Owls broke into the national rankings at No. 65, announced by the ITA.
The win moves the Owls to 6-7 on the year while GSU falls to 4-8. The Owls took the early lead by winning the doubles point on victories from courts one and two. Playing under a clinch play-out scenario, court three doubles did not finish, but each of the singles' courts completed their matches.

Marek Pazdera was the first complete his match with a 6-1, 6-1 court six victory while fellow freshman and last week's match hero
Segundo Goity Zapico clinched the match with a court four 6-3, 6-3 win. GSU would take court one, but the Owls closed out the final two courts for the match final.
