Baseball Holds Annual Luncheon Featuring Hall of Famer Johnny Bench

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic baseball held its annual Line Drive Luncheon on Monday afternoon, presented by the Paradise Club and sponsored by Demand the Limits Injury Attorneys. This year's featured guest speaker was Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench. The sold-out event filled the Debbie Lindstrom and Bob Scheetz Owls Perch inside the Schmidt Family Complex

FAU head baseball coach John McCormack, set to embark on his 17th season atop the program and 35th season with the program, led off the event. McCormack spoke with host MC Frank Forte about the upcoming 2025 campaign and insight on this year's Owls.

Bench, a 14-time all-star and two-time MVP, played 17 years in the Major Leagues, winning four National League pennants and two World Series, provided insight on his career and life after baseball.

Florida Atlantic baseball begins the 2025 season on February 14 at home against Delaware. Single game and season tickets are now available.
