BOCA RATON, Fla. – The American Conference has named Florida Atlantic shortstop
Brando Leroux and outfielder
Marshall Lipsey to its Preseason All-Conference team, the league announced on Tuesday.
Leroux returns for a third season with the Owls after earning a nod to the American Second Team All-Conference in 2025. The Canadian started 53 games at shortstop and led the Owls with a .319 batting average. He was named to the midseason watch list for the Brooks Wallace Award as the nation's best shortstop.
Lipsey was one of two unanimous selections to the Preseason All-Conference team after batting leadoff and making 56 starts in centerfield in 2025. He finished second on the team with 61 hits, including 12 home runs. He also finished second to Leroux with a .318 average and earned a spot on the American First Team All-Conference.
Leroux and Lipsey will lead the Owls into their third year in the American Conference after a 37-21 season in 2025. Florida Atlantic was picked sixth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Owls open the 2026 season at home against Notre Dame on February 13. Season tickets are
