BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's diving teams are traveling back to Miami for the South Florida Diving Invitational hosted by FIU. The two-day meet exclusively for diving events will begin Friday, Nov. 7, with events wrapping up Saturday, Nov. 8.
Friday's action will begin at 12 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center with Saturday's action kicking off at 12 p.m.
In the beginning of the 2025-26 season, the Owl divers have experienced plenty of early success. Both
Trevor Kuhn and
Rocco Simonelli have won ASUN Diver of the Week on two different occasions this season. On the women's side, multiple different Owls have contributed, including sophomore transfer
Augusta Ness who won the 1-meter diving with a total score of 237.5 against Indian River.
LAST TIME OUT
Men
- Simonelli finished with two top three finishes in a dual meet versus Keiser. On the 3mtr diving, he won the event totaling a score of 321.30. In the 1mtr event, he finished second with a score of 287.85, giving the Owls significant scoring in their 194-104 win.
- Kuhn also finished two top three finishes in the dual meet versus Keiser, winning the 1mtr dive with a total score of 296.10.
Women
- Senior Grace Powell won the 3mtr diving, totaling a score of 258.08 versus Keiser.
- Ness finished the Keiser dual meet with second place finishes in both the 1mtr and 3mtr diving events.
ON DECK
The Owls will have a few weeks off before gearing up for the Patriot Midseason Invitational hosted by George Mason. The three-day meet begins on Wednesday, Nov. 19 with competition wrapping up on Saturday, Nov. 22. FAU will be looking for a third consecutive team sweep of the meet.
