BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books with four former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the 12th week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (4) #0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- Al-Shaair racked up tackles at a high rate on a Thursday night matchup against the Buffalo Bills, notching seven. He added a quarterback hit and pass breakup while playing 100% of the team's defensive snaps for the sixth straight game, the longest stretch of his career without missing a play. The Texans picked up a key 23-19 victory over Buffalo. Texans' Record: 6-5 Next Game: at Indianapolis – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#84 Zaire Mitchell-Paden | TE | New Orleans Saints
- Mitchell-Paden and the Saints returned from their bye week against their divisional rival Atlanta Falcons. He saw the field for 20 total snaps, including a season high 13 on special teams, as New Orleans fell by a score of 24-10. Saints' Record: 2-9 Next Game: at Miami – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX)
#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers

#26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants
- "Motor" was a key part of the Giants' run game, carrying the ball 14 times for a season high 47 yards. Singletary ran for two first downs with a long of 13, as New York fell in an overtime thriller to the Detroit Lions by a score of 34-27.
