BOCA RATON, Fla. – Six home games, including marquee match ups versus South Florida, Navy and FIU, highlight the complete 2026 Florida Atlantic football schedule that was announced Thursday by the American Conference.
The Owls have also unveiled the team's annual spring game, which is set for Friday, April 17 at Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union Stadium. The second annual Friday Night Showcase begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free to attend.
Following the season opener on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Florida, the Owls' 2026 home schedule under second-year Hagerty Family Head Coach Zach Kittley kicks off Saturday, Sept. 12 versus Navy. The game marks the Midshipmen's second visit to Boca Raton, but first as an American Conference member.
Three consecutive non-conference games versus FIU at home in the Shula Bowl Game (Saturday, Sept. 19), at Louisiana-Monroe (Saturday, Sept. 26) and versus Texas Southern at home (Saturday, Oct. 3) precede the Owls' open date on Oct. 10. Following the bye, Florida Atlantic plays at Army on Saturday, Oct. 17, then welcomes Rice to Paradise Saturday, Oct. 24.
The Owls are then slated for consecutive Thursday night showdowns – at North Texas on Oct. 29 and at home versus UTSA on Nov. 5.
Two of the final three regular season games come on the road with Florida Atlantic at Tulsa on Saturday, Nov. 14, welcoming South Florida to Boca Raton on Saturday, Nov. 21, and the closer at East Carolina the next weekend. The FAU-ECU game is part of a flexible Week 13 schedule to close the regular season, with the game either being played Friday on Black Friday (Nov. 27) or on Saturday, November 28. That selection will be made by Oct. 11.
Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season, as well as the season-long weeknight games, will be finalized by June 1. The rest of the schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day selection processes. All dates announced today are subject to change.
Season tickets for the 2026 campaign are on sale now, starting at $75 plus a $5 processing charge per seat, along with various premium seating options. The Owls recently unveiled an extensive list of benefits for being an Owls Football season ticket holder in 2026, including an exclusive mini statue of Hall of Fame former head coach Howard Schnellenberger to the first 1,000 accounts that either renew and/or purchase new. The mini statue, presented by Coke, is a replica of the iconic Schnellenberger statue that greets fans at the stadium's main gates on game days.
