Florida Atlantic Set to Travel for American Championships

CONCORD, N.C. – Florida Atlantic's men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Concord to compete in the 2025 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Friday morning, hosted by Charlotte.
This will mark the third American cross country championships that the Owls participate in. The races will be broadcasted on ESPN+. The women will run the 6K at 10 a.m., while the men will take on an 8K run, beginning at 9:15 a.m. Florida Atlantic looks to continue its successful season to close out 2025.

The Owls will conclude their cross country season with the NCAA South Regionals on Friday, Nov. 14, in Huntsville, Alabama at John Hunt Park.

LAST TIME OUT
Women (Ed Holloway Classic)
- Florida Atlantic had two representatives on the night (Morgan Pennington and Reese Anderson).
- Anderson finished within the top 20, coming in at 16th with a time of 23:52.
Men (Ed Holloway Classic)
- Senior Paul Glick was the next Owl to cross the finish line with a 27:11.
- The third runner for FAU was Donovan Petty, with a 27:22 (5:30 minutes per mile).
- Finishing within the top 30 was Noah Highsmith in his third race with Florida Atlantic. He finished with a 27:39 for his fastest time in an FAU uniform.
- Nate Webb and Nazayer Franco also ran for the Owls, finishing 33rd and 34th on the evening.
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
- The Owls started off the season at the Keiser Invitational.
- Madison Brown, Sophie Dethier, Anderson, and Pennington made their debut as Owls.
- On the men's side, Samuel Henery has competed very well in every race he has made an appearance.
- Webb, Franco, and Highsmith competed for the first time in an FAU uniform.
