Meet Coach Hamby

BOCA RATON, Fla. – After a four-year collegiate playing career as an offensive lineman at Texas Tech and a short stint in the NFL, Stephen Hamby was convinced to go into coaching.
Hamby spent his early coaching years as an assistant o-line coach for his alma mater before stops at Bowling Green, Western Kentucky, and back at Texas Tech as the head offensive line coach.
Along the way, his connection with Zach Kittley grew from both serving on the Red Raiders staff under then-Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury to Hamby in charge of Kittley's offensive lines during his stints as offensive coordinator for Western Kentucky and Texas Tech from 2021-24.
When Kittley received the job at Florida Atlantic as the Hagerty Family Head Football Coach, Hamby was an early call, and joining him in Paradise was what he called a no-brainer.
